Applicants need apply: Hickland's roots show

You might not know that "One Life to Live" star Catherine Hickland made her entree into show-biz as a makeup artist.

Hickland, 46, who plays Lindsay on the ABC soap, returns to her roots in the Feb. 1 issue of Woman's Day to give readers tips on makeup application. It's basically the "dos" and "don'ts" dealing with foundation, cheeks, lips and eyes, all done within 10 minutes with her own makeup line, Cat Cosmetics (catcosmetics.com).

Hickland tells women that "We don't need a thousand [makeup] choices, only a few key products that actually deliver."
