Real Love In the Afternoon
Two Soaps to Play, One Life to Live
On the contrary, the lines are clearly divided in the eight-year celebrity marriage of Catherine Hickland (Lindsay, OLTL) and Michael E. Knight (Tad, AMC). Although they met through the world of soaps and currently work only three New York City blocks apart on ABC daytime dramas, they've never shared daytime screen time, and likely never will.
"When we started dating, we agreed to have individual careers," says Hickland. "We don't do press together, and want each of our achievements to stand out on their own--because people are always going to associate us with one another. Even when I talk about Michael, I feel like I'm invading his privacy."

"So when I roll up the driveway, she's not asking me, 'How was your love scene today, dear?' We do talk shop, but we don't dwell on it."
And as for having a wife who works right down the street? Knight concludes: "It's awesome!"
