That's Gotta Hurt

She may have played a former pinup girl, but Catherine Hickland (Lindsay) didn’t exactly get the glamorous beauty treatment when she guest-starred on a recent LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT. “I got my head bashed in,” says the actress about her primetime role. Though her character was killed in the show’s opener, Hickland’s makeup seemed to have a life of its own! “I was laying down in my [trailer] waiting to go on set, when I thought, ‘I’m going to go to Starbucks and get some coffee.’ And I totally forgot that I had the special effects makeup on.” The actress, made up to look like she’d been battered to death, got a few stares although it took her awhile to figure out why. “When I picked up my coffee at the other end of the counter, the guy was like, ‘My God! Does that hurt?’” It was then that Hickland realized her mistake. “I told him it didn’t hurt, but I did have a little headache!”
