Catherine Hickland (Lindsay) makes no secret of the fact that she prefers thong underwear to granny panties, but admits that her Victoria’s Secret skivvies aren’t suitable for every occasion: “One day I had a doctor’s appointment where I would have to sit there in one of those half-gowns with nothing but a pair of panties,” she relates. “A half hour before my appointment, I realized that I was wearing a thong and didn’t want to look like a stripper in front of my very dignified doctor!” Frantic, Hickland hit up her favorite store. “I went into Victoria’s Secret and said, ‘Don’t you have any good girl underwear?’ and they said, ‘Not in this store!’ But I did finally find a pair in the nick of time and saved myself the humiliation.” Although she still swears by sexy lingerie, Hickland purchases undergarments at the Gap at times, too. “I just don’t want V.P.L [visible panty lines],” she concludes. “And when in doubt, go commando!”
