She’s an accomplished actress and singer who runs her own successful business. But as the leaves change and most of the country’s kids are back in school, Catherine Hickland (Lindsay) can’t help but reflect upon the teacher who made the biggest difference in her life: her high school humanities teacher, Mr. Stockwell. “I got caught cheating on a test when I was a freshman,” the actress explains. “How he talked to me about it turned my life around.” Hickland says her teacher’s advice still resonates today. “He talked to me about being honest and working hard,” she continues. “He told me to make my own way and be a leader and not a follower. That was huge for me.”
