Hickland Speaks Out on MIA Lindsay!

Psst…Catherine Hickland looks at OLTL’s plans for Lindsay – and sends a message to the fans who want a Lindsay/David pairing!

The In Depth Story: Save for a few stand-alone moments teasing possible partners in crime (and more?) associations with Rex and David, or scenes of her offering motherly advice to wild child Jen, Lindsay largely has been missing in action since her St. Anne’s stay. Daytime vet Hickland, however, says she is okay with that, if it assists a proper evolution for her character.

“A lot of people have been complaining to me that I haven’t been on that much,” the actress tells Soaps In Depth, but I would rather [OLTL’s powers that be] take their time and figure out a good direction for the character than to throw me right back into being a bad girl without showing anything that she has gone through.”

Besides, some OLTL fans’ lightning-fact quickness to conjure up a nickname for Lindsay/David pairing only proves that the blond bad girl’s absence has made hearts grow fonder. “LiVid is brilliant!” Hickland raves. “And it fits the couple!”

“I love working with Tuc Watkins (David). He is amazing and cute and all of that,” she continues. “They have also worked Lindsay with Rex, and that’s very interesting. I think they’re just waiting to see what works, and go with that.”
