New "CenterPIECE" for Pieces (of Ass)
As of February 23, 2005, One Life To Live's Catherine Hickland has taken over the reigns as the celebrity guest "CenterPIECE" in the Off-Broadway hit PIECES (of ass), currently playing at Dodger Stages in New York City.
PIECES features a series of original monologues delivered by a cast of 12 beautiful women speaking about their own experiences - each dealing with themes uniquely common to the physically blessed women. From perks to privileges, to problems and pressures, these "PIECES" aim to go beneath the beautiful facade in order to examine the concept of "hot chick angst." PIECES also creates a party-like atmosphere by incorporating a live female DJ and short films for a unique theatrical environment.
Ms. Hickland made her Broadway debut in the role of Fantine in the hit Broadway musical Les Miserables. Regional theater credits include Love Letters, opposite Campbell Scott.
Born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Catherine joined the cast of One Life To Live in May, 1998, as the charmingly manipulative Lindsay Rappaport. Her first professional job garnered her nationwide attention as a stewardess in an airline Fly Me advertising campaign. Since then she has starred as Tess Wilder on Loving and The City, enjoyed the dual role of Julie Cleff and Jenny Diamond on Capitol, and played Dr. Courtney Marshall on Texas.
Ms. Hickland has also guest-starred on numerous primetime series such as Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Knight Rider, Eight Is Enough, Airwolf and Vega$. TV movie credits include The Seeding of Sara Burns and To Race The Wind. Feature film credits include: The Last Married Couple in America (in which she played George Segal's young squeeze) and Millions with Billy Zane.
Past "CenterPIECES" have included Rachel Hunter (Actress, Supermodel), Nicole Richie (FOX's The Simple Life), Brooke Burke (E! Wild On host, Cover Girl), Jamie Lyn DiScala (HBO's The Sopranos), Jenna Morasca (Survivor winner), Trishelle Canatella (MTV's Real World, WB's The Surreal Life) and Brande Roderick (Baywatch), among many others.
Tickets for all PIECES performances are available through Telecharge.com or by calling (212) 239-6200 and at the Dodger Stages box office at 340 W. 50th Street. More information about the show, including photos and video clips, are available online at: www.piecesnewyork.com.
