Hello Beauties, Happy New Year!

This month, I wanted to find something of real value that you could buy at the drugstore to moisturize your winter skin. So far here in New York, it's been a really cold, dry winter, and to make matters worse, we have steam heat in our apartments, which I'm convinced is going to turn me into actress jerky.

Some friends of mine were visiting from England. They had gone to the drugstore to buy a few things and little did they know, they turned me on to some pretty great products at amazing prices. Remember in the beginning I told you that sometimes you have to spend the bucks, and sometimes you don't?

St. Ives is a company that makes bath and body products that are unbelievably inexpensive and really quite effective. I bought several and used them all after one of my infamous hot baths -- and boy, let me tell you, I am a happy Cat.

First, I used the St. Ives Foaming Facial Apricot Cleanser to take off my makeup. If you have acne-prone skin or really oily skin, you can buy the St. Ives Medicated Apricot Scrub, but only if you're oily. I then used the St. Ives Ultra Gentle Apricot Scrub (make sure it's not the one in the tub -- that's a little more hard-core and better suited for the body). I then used the St. Ives Collagen Elastin Essential Moisturizer. And I have to say, it did a nice lube job on my face I'm not going to say it's the best moisturizer I've ever used, but for the price, it's pretty hard to beat.

After drying off, and while the steam was still rising from my skin, I used the St. Ives Skin Firming Moisturizing Lotion all over my body. A few minutes after that sank in, I used the Whipped Silk Intense Body Moisturizer and between the two products, I was thrilled with the results.

I have never really believed that you have to spend a bundle on body lotions and potions, and it's nice to find a company that proves me right.
