Happy New Year to all of my favorite girls out there…you! How were your holidays? Did you eat everything you wanted to? Good! Because now it's time to make new goal's and focus on what we want from the coming year, and then taking baby steps to get there.

I said baby steps. Easy does it, now. If you don't know what you want, then find out. A gall has to have a plan, and then a plan B. Remember, slow and steady wins the race! Now on to the goods…

After nicking the heck out of myself with my husband's manly Gillette, I went on the search for the perfect girlie razor. Who knew there was a difference? I was just trying to get rid of the 5 o'clock shadow on my legs. Anyway, on a midnight run to the all-night drugstore, I met my match, the Gillette Venus razor for women. I snatched it up and ran to the nearest hot bath. Well, girls, let me tell you, Michael E. Knight's razors are safe (which will thrill him because he's very territorial about his toiletries). The Venus is practically nick-proof. I mean, you've got to be on a mission to nick your pins with this one. And it has a silkening effect on your skin that really works.

Okay, here comes a weird segue. You know that the Kitty Cat is a cosmetics freak. I love makeup, and I am fussy and picky about makeup brushes, so whenever I find truly great ones, I get so excited! Well, three-time Academy Award-winning makeup artist Ve Neill, a woman I admire greatly, is one of the premiere makeup artists to the truly biggest stars in Hollywood, and she has come out with her own line of brushes--Ve's Favorite Brushes--and they are fantastic. I always maintain that without good brushes, it doesn't matter what makeup you use--the secret is in the tools. You must log on to her Web site (www.favoritebrushes.com) and check out her line. She also has cool animal-print brush rolls and accessories.

And speaking of strange segues, now that the holidays are over, I am telling you to run (don't walk) to your nearest Victoria's Secret and buy yourself a pair of their silk pajamas. (If there isn't one near you, call one.) They come in a bevy of colors, but my faves are the black, the white, and the pale pink. They normally cost $40 or $50 and up, but after Christmas they traditionally get marked down to anywhere from $19.99 to $29--and they are great! I feel really sexy in them, so get yourself some and rock someone's world (yours)!

Remember, you are what you think, so think great things. See ya next month!
