OLTL’s Lindsay Faked Her Breakdown

Nora’s suspicions are confirmed when RJ confronts Lindsay this week and says he knows she staged her courtroom breakdown and speedy recovery. “It’s a big reveal,” says Catherine Hickland (Lindsay). “It happens very suddenly.”

Instead of denying it, “her reaction is basically, ‘For God’s sake, man, keep your voice down!’” laughs Hickland. RJ, meanwhile, agrees to keep quiet but issues a warning. “What he’s there to tell her is, ‘Hey, don’t kid yourself. Nora’s on your tail and moving [to Bo’s] was really a bad idea.’ And she’s like, ‘Well, I didn’t know that I would be living here!’”

Worried that Bo will overhear their conversation, Lindsay quickly ushers RJ out and gives him a goodbye hug, which Bo witnesses. “The hug is nothing more than her saying, ‘Okay, thank you so much. Now, buh-bye,’” explains Hickland. “She wants him to leave because for her, it’s over and she just wants to get on with life. She did not want to go to prison or get the death penalty, which we know happens in Llanview. Ask Todd. So, I understand why she’d [fake insanity].”

While old feelings may or may not be stirring for Bo and Lindsay, she assures him that she and RJ are not headed for a romantic reunion. Then, when the duo heads to the Palace for dinner, they run right into Clint and Nora on a date. “Lindsay’s just minding her own business and she and Bo don’t really want to sit with them, but Nora insists and they sit down and things just go from bad to worse to worst!” Hickland previews. “Something happens, one piece of food is flung and then war begins.” So there’s another Nora/Lindsay food fight? “Yes, this is our third, but this is the first time that men have ever been included in it. Jerry verDorn [Clint] was covered in soup!”

When the crumbs settle, Nora warns Lindsay that she’s going to prove that she faked her insanity, while Lindsay privately vows to never let that happen. “In her mind, she’s safe because she and RJ have a very strong alliance. I think she feels that since he’s the only person who knows, she’s good.” But dealing with Bo may be a different story. “She doesn’t want to lie to Bo, but her back is to the wall.”
