Michael E. Knight (Tad, AMC) and Catherine Hickland (Lindsay, One Life to Live; ex-Tess, Loving/The City)

How They Met: As Hickland recently recounted in her New York cabaret show, the two met when a mutual friend brought Knight to a party she was throwing to welcome herself back to the U.S. after two years in Italy. "Of course, I sat him next to me," she said, laughing. Although wary of starting a new relationship after a painful divorce from David Hasselhoff ("Badly cast in the role of my husband"), Knight nevertheless won Hickland's heart.

They Do: The couple wed in Malibu, CA on June 27, 1992 and soon moved to New York after Knight rejoined AMC.

Ah, Romance: Seven years later, Hickland only has one complaint about her hubby. "He hates having his picture taken," she laughs. Other than that, the animal-loving duo is happiest in their New York apartment with their six cats and one dog.

Words To Live By: "As lucky as I am in my career, I really need to knock on wood about my marriage because I'm so very, very lucky," Knight told Digest last year. "She's somebody who points out the road signs along the way and says, 'Take note.' And I do."
