Product Queen

Hello, my cherished beauties. It’s been a month and I’ve missed you! I’ve been out there spending on products, but it’s getting harder and harder to excite me. One thing I have done is focus on some long-term personal goals, and I didn’t wait until January 1 to do them. One was to lose those extra pounds that were hounding me right out of my favorite clothes. So, I decided like anything else that you want to work, I would go on my favorite plan (notice I didn’t use the word d-i-e-t) and to do it exactly as I was told to, not my version of it. Suzanne Somers has a new book out called Fast and Easy, and it is both of those things. I have lost 22 pounds and three pant sizes. It works, and it is perfect for those who love to eat. (Those who are watching ONE LIFE TO LIVE right now are watching the incredible shrinking woman.) At this moment, I am as small as I want to be. I’m a gal with curves and I want to keep ‘em. I call this my “prance-worthy weight”; you can figure it out…

Moving on. Almay came out with a beautiful mascara called One Coat Mascara/Thickening. I bought it in Blackest Black, because I think nearly everyone looks good in black mascara. I know it says one coat, but I always wear two. One really is enough with this one.

I am not a big mineral makeup fan. I want to be; I know it’s popular. But it looks too shiny on my skin. I’ve been experimenting like crazy with all kinds of different brands and brushes to apply them with. I’ve been wanting to find a formula to add to my own brand, to offer clients an option. Just when I was about to give up, I discovered Complete Me by a beautiful company called Philosophy. It’s kind of hard to find, and I recommend that you try this in person before buying it because a) it’s expensive and b) you need to choose a shade that’s right for you. So, I am listing the toll-free number to get the store location nearest you. Or, if you are feeling daring, you could order online at www.philosphy.com. It comes in powder form in a sifter. I shake it onto a piece of paper or Kleenex, and then dip my soft-haired powder brush in it, shake it off and then feather it all over my face. You only need a little. It offers decent coverage and adds color to my face, which at this time of year is crucial because I’m so pale. I’m telling you, right now if I went to the beach, the buzzards would circle…

I guess it’s time to find a new self tanner, too! See you next month. >^..^<
