Product Queen
Greetings Goddesses!
I've been a busy girl lately, and so the stakes have gone up looking for new ways to pamper and de-stress myself--anything to make life go a little easier! Even though I've been working double time with ONE LIFE TO LIVE and catcosmetics.com, I still marvel at those of you who have children and (gasp!) a job. Forget about it...you are my heroes.
First up, I stumbled on a wonderful product called Phytomer Rosee Visage Face Dew, which does much more than dew up my face. I put it on cotton pads to remove even my show eye makeup (and I assure you, that is put on with a spatula!). Then, if I'm puffy and tired, I soak cotton eye pads (round, flat ones) and lie down for 10 minutes with them over my lids. I can even use it for taking off all my makeup, as it contains no alcohol and doesn't dry out my skin. This product is from France, so the only place I've found it is sephora.com.
I've been suffering from dry skin-itis this past winter, so my next find was purchased at the drugstore, and I was happy to find it. Skintimate Moisturizing Shave Gel is a shaving gel for your legs. Prior to finding this, I was using whatever soapy thing I had in the shower, but no more, baby! Summer is coming, and I want my pins as presentable as possible, so dry, flaky skin is not on the menu. This stuff has made a huge difference on my skin, really.
My three-year anniversary on OLTL is almost here (I can't believe it!) and that means that Wayne Bilotti (our show hair wrangler) has had the task of blow-drying my 12 hairs and trying to make them look like 112 about 700 times, and that ain't easy. (I gotta have that soap-opera hair!) I work almost every day and I tell ya, I'm more worried about losing my mind! So, I was thrilled to find a towel made especially for drying the hair--a hair sponge, if you will. It's called the Aquis Microfiber Hair Towel. It's small and takes the water out pronto, so it cuts your blow-drying time in half. It's made not to split or break hair, and it's fabulous! (At $17.99 it's not cheap, but worth it over the life of those locks.) The towel is available at drugstores.
Okay, that's it for this month. But never fear, I'm on the product prowl--only for you, my darlings!
