Product Queen

First of all, I want to say that the e-mail postings I've been getting about the Suzanne Somers diet have been so utterly heartfelt that I literally laugh out loud--and sometimes even cry. At the end of the day, we are really all the same. Although I am not able to answer all the messages, please know that I AM reading them every day, and I support and love every one of you. Stay strong! Okay, on to the products! I get so excited when I find something new that's good and is a bargain. Remember: Something is only a bargain if it's cheap and it's fabulous!

Well, Pond's has done it again--it's come out with a great, new product at an amazing price. Remember how I went on and on about the makeup remover towelettes a few months ago? Well, Pond's has a brand-new version of them out, except now they're called Age Defying Cleansing Towelettes with alpha hydroxy acids and botanical extracts. And the great news? They're alcohol-free. The testing was done on women from 30 years old to 75 years old with great results, and they say when used twice a day for three to four weeks, it minimizes fine lines and wrinkles. I say, where do I sign?! They remove makeup, but are not to be used to remove eye makeup (because of the alpha hydroxy acid). I love them. They come in a pink container that is refillable, and I love the price--$6.99.

Pond's also has a new Web site called pondssquad.com that sells a whole line of facial products for adolescent skin and adult acne that's supposed to be quite good, so I think that's worth checking out if those are problems for you. If they are, you should know that you are not alone. I get SO much mail from people with problem skin.

My other fab drugstore find this month was by my absolute favorite inexpensive makeup company, Jordana (which is big in chain drugstores like Duane Reade and Rite Aid.) They have a new lip-gloss line out called Color Gloss, and it's so great, really the best inexpensive lip-gloss I've ever found. (I have to say, it kicked butt on the Maybelline glosses, which were sticky…yuck!) My two favorite colors are cotton candy and beige frost, and at $1.99, you can't beat the value. It isn't easy to find great--and I mean great--drugstore makeup. (I wish someone would put me in charge of creating their products, but that's another story…) I was thrilled to find this lip-gloss because it's nice for summer, and I know a lot of you are on tight budgets, so I love to find inexpensive things for you--girlfriend needs to watch her dollar.

Have a great summer, and I'll see you next month, beauties!
