Hello, angels!

Well, it finally happened. I got a bad haircut. Other than the true hardships that life hits us with, there is nothing worse. Millions of people watched that haircut grow out. (That cut had a storyline of its own…) I admit it. I cheated on my hairdresser. I said, “Give me a sexy cut, but leave it long. Don’t touch the length.” So what did she do? She took four inches off and the layers looked like they were cut with a clamshell. Time wasn’t gonna heal that cut, so I crawled back to my beloved Jason and cried, ‘I cheated. Forgive me. Can ya fix it?” The bangs were so short (“I won’t touch those, you can’t make me!”) that I was forced to veer off into hair-product land, and I found some good stuff that made me feel better.

Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray is a cool find that made my hair feel thicker. (The girl had thinned out my already fine out!) Surf Spray contains salt. You know how great your hair is after a swim in the ocean? This re-creates it. Just a little makes the hair thicker and beachy.

If your hair is rough and sun-damaged, I found a new line called Ojon for twice-a-week usage to keep it lively and nourished. It’s pricey, but if you only use a little, the price per use works out to be a deal. Ojon Ultra Hydrating Shampoo and Ojon Ultra Hydrating Conditioner offer help for summer sun and/or chemically fried hair. It’s made with palm nut oil from the Ojon tree in Central America and really makes the hair so nice.

If your tresses are really in bad shape, bite the bullet and get the tub of Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment, which is a more time-consuming conditioning treatment but it’s great. And don’t forget, if you have product overload in that mane, Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo is a great “once-a-week get it all out and start over!” product.

Happy summer, everyone!
