Product Queen

Greetings from the queen! The other night while I was in a restaurant waiting for Hillary B. Smith (Nora, ONE LIFE TO LIVE) – I’m always waiting for Hillary – a lovely girl came over to my table to tell me how much she looks forward to reading “Product Queen” every month. She opened the conversation by saying that she hoped she wasn’t bothering me. Bothering me? I love it when people have something to say to me. I have never understood it when celebrities get annoyed by fans approaching them, unless they’re being rude, which can happen now and then. I consider it an honor that people would feel moved to speak with me about the show, PQ or anything else I may be doing. The greatest compliment is when a woman tells me that I have somehow inspired her. My greatest achievements have come from being inspired by someone. So, if you see me out there, bother me – please! I saw it comes with dinner, baby. To you, Barb, it’s my pleasure…Now, on with the show :)
L’Oreal has done it again – it came out with a new mascara that rocks my lashes. I am still a big fan of L’Oreal Le Grand Curl (just make sure it’s the one with the curved brush), but the company now has a mascara with a double-ended wand that has mascara on one end and a creamy lash coat on the other, L’Oreal Double Extend Lash Extender & Magnifier. Here’s the skinny: If you have skimpy lashes (and even if you don’t), you apply the cream-colored side of the lash coat right before applying a coat of the mascara. The lash coat makes your lashes fatter and longer, even before you apply the color. I swear, it’s like having fakies on! In fact, a woman asked me if I was wearing false eye-lashes the other day, and I don’t have great lashes, either. This stuff works!
My other amazing find – and this is a good one – is … gasp … a new eye cream! I am hopelessly hooked on La Prairie Cellular eye cream, but at around $100 for a little jar, it’s not realistic for every woman to own it. I have tried them all, believe me, I bet I have spent thousands of dollars trying to find one I like as much as La Prairie so I could share it with you, and after three years, I hit pay dirt. A company called Fresh makes a product called Soy Formula f21c Eye Cream. It comes in a nice long tube, and it works like crazy, hydrating and plumping that under-eye area. The best thing is, it’s only $35, and it’ll last a long time. This is a four-tiara product! I can’t vouch for any of their other products, but I’ll try them in the future. In the meantime, the one is a winner.
Okay, spread the love. See you next month!
