Product Queen

We’re nearing the end of summer, my goddesses, so we have to keep that beautiful color going!

When I was a girl, I remember Coppertone had billboards with a little girl having her bathing suit bottom pulled down by a dog to reveal a tremendous tan line. I loved that ad, but it wouldn’t fly today because no one I know has a tan line. When I use a sunless tanner, I don’t go painting tan lines on myself. Coppertone has now come out with a superior self-tanner – Coppertone Endless Summer Gradual Tan – and it’s the bomb!

They claim “for a flawless natural-looking tan that you control” and that claim lives up to the words on the bronze bottle. After one night, I had good color (at least I didn’t look like the underbelly of a flounder) and after two nights, I was all over my bad self tan. I love a good drugstore product!

Few things ever smooth my skin, because they don’t last. After a few hours, I am back to iguana. But after an application of Custard Cream Body Butter by Cutiekit, you are buttery soft and smell good enough to eat. It’s made with milk and honey, so it’s a no-brainer. Someone gave me this product as a gift and as I was getting to the bottom of the container, I began to panic because I realized I was out. The sure sign of a beauty addict.

For my lips, I found a beautiful, frosty lipstick made my Revlon (another throwback to my childhood) that is perfect for summer-into-fall – Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pebble #68. This is a pale shade of bronzy-pink that looks great on almost everyone that I’ve asked to road test it. I can always count on the Revlon Super Lustrous line for beautiful textures and colors. This particular one is a sexy shade and looks good when glosses are layered over it, too. Revlon also makes Super Lustrous Lip Glosses; a pretty pink shade is Pink Afterglow.

Ask to try it before you buy it if you’re not sure, and keep your receipt in case you don’t like it. I hope you’re having the best summer ever, but if not, slap on a little lipstick and you’ll be fine!
