Product Queen
Hello, beautiful creatures! We just had our ONE LIFE TO LIVE fan club luncheon, and I was so pleased by the number of you who came up to me to show me your “before” photos to show me how much weight you’ve lost. It was inspirational! It warms The Queen’s heart to see how many readers we have, and to know that Digest has made a difference in the way you see yourselves and, more importantly, the way you want to see yourselves.
Now, on to the goods. I just completed my makeover video, “Simply Gorgeous,” and it gave me the opportunity to find a few new pearls in the oyster known as chain drugstores. Physicians Formula has a cool new product called Pearls of Perfection Blush in Blushing Nude, which contains beads of bronze colors that you rub a blush brush over and sweep onto your face. I really like this product because of the color combination (there are a few colors, so make sure you get this one) and because the payoff is so sheer.
There’s also a new body product called Jergens Soft Shimmer Skin Radiance Moisturizer. It has a slight shimmer on the old bod, particularly on the gams, which I sometimes refer to as pins. You have to be careful about shimmer in anything because you don’t ever want to look fake or shiny. When in doubt, always go for the “glow.”
For summer scorched lips, I found an amazing lip balm at the mall from The Body Shop. Born Lippy Strawberry Lip Balm is a bright red lip balm that gives your lips the glossy look of having just bitten into a luscious piece of fruit. The Web site describes it like this: “Helps keep lips soft and smooth with community-traded Zambian beeswax from zookeepers in Zambia and lanolin, proven to have protective effects on the skin.”
Whew – that’s a lot to offer!
