Product Queen

A few weeks ago, I went to a product convention (yes, there is such a thing and it is so much fun!) to see what’s new in the world of health and beauty. Let me tell you, the Product Queen went into a frenzy. So, imagine the belly laugh I got when I saw a booth with a product called LipLocks that is a lip balm that’s supposed to curb your cravings. You know I had to zip into that booth for a test-drive. It turns out that two women made this balm that looks like a Chapstick, and invented some concoction that penetrates into the lips and keeps your food cravings under control.

There are three choices. One is a berry color (called Berry) that is actually a beautiful color. Another is clear (good for men) and the third is clear with a slight shimmer for you nature buffs. I really liked the berry color, so I took that one and smeared it all over my kisser.

Oddly enough, I happened to be really hungry (nothing new, I am always thinking about my next meal) and moved on to the other booths. And damn if I didn’t notice that I wasn’t craving after awhile! This lip-balm stick costs 18 clams, but hey, some lipsticks cost more and they don’t do diddly-squat for my appetite. I know it sounds crazy, but I believe this stuff works. At the very least, it’s an awesome lip balm – and winter is coming. Bravo, ladies!

Now, most of you know I just love good inspiration. I eat books that inspire me. But we don’t always have time to read books. What we need are bullet-point blasts of inspiration that make sense immediately. So, I found these boxed sets of cards (64 to be exact) of three of my favorite books that I have learned from. I read one card a day and really think about what I am reading. It’s life-changing! My three favorite sets are ‘Money Cards: Words That Lead To Wealth’ by Suze Orman, ‘Wisdom Cards’ by Louise L. Hay and ‘The Four Agreements’ by Don Miguel Ruiz. They are not only a beautiful gift for yourself, but will make fantastic Christmas gifts for others. Go out and illuminate the world!

If you can’t get these products and you’re feeling a little down, you know what I always say: “Slap on a little lipstick and you’ll be fine.”

See ya next month!
