A Star's Surprise

It was quite a surprise for OLTL fan Valarie Kennedy when she was chosen for a makeover--and it was an even bigger thrill when the person doing the makeover was none other than her favorite soap actress Catherine Hickland (Lindsay). It all came about when Hickland was asked to make an appearance on the new syndicated talk show IYANLA.

Hickland, who has her own line of makeup called Cat Cosmetics, surprised Kennedy backstage. Hickland applied Kennedy's makeup, and in the end, it was an experience she would never forget. As for Hickland, "I loved doing it," she says with a smile. "It's something I would like to do more of in the future." The segment will air sometime in the fall. The show is produced by Barbara Walters and the producers of THE VIEW.
