For Your Emmy Consideration
Catherine Hickland (Lindsay, OLTL)
Talk about neurotic and insecure characters! Lindsay should have used some of her divorce settlement money to pay for some heavy-duty therapy. Thanks to Hickland's strength as an actress and her confidence and belief in the character's every action whether it's switching sperm samples or sparring with archrival Nora, Lindsay never comes off as pathetic. The fantastic thing about Hickland is that she can play comedy and drama with equal ease. Lindsay is just the kind of ambiguous character--neither villainess nor heroine--who makes things interesting on soaps, and Hickland fills the bill with total acuity.
