Behind the Scenes
Tad Chooses…Lindsay!
The Buchanans run Mitch out of town. Real-life marrieds Catherine Hickland (Lindsay) and Michael E. Knight (Tad, All My Children) hook up on-screen. Susan Batten is “L” to Max’s 006. That’s what you asked for – and that’s what you’ll see on OLTL’s Fan February episode Feb. 19.
“I am just beside myself,” marveled Hickland on set before taping the big scenes, “because I think he’s great – whether he’s my husband or not. Michael is a little nervous about it, probably because he isn’t on his turf.”
“It’s nerve-wracking because you are up there sharing the screen with somebody who knows you better than anybody in the world,” confided Knight. “She is my best friend and anchor in life, but at the same time if I do something that is less than 100 percent, she is going to look at me and go, ‘Come on, you don’t do that at home.’”
In the storyline, Tad chooses Lindsay over Nora and Lindsay chooses Tad over Troy. “This is so much fun,” bubbled Hillary B. Smith (Nora). “Except we should all be walking around in silk pajamas like we usually do when we’re together.”
Once the scenes were in the can, Hickland admitted she was a bit thrown by Tad and Lindsay’s kiss. “I ws like, ‘Oh, my God, he kissed me!’” Was it a Michael kiss or a Tad kiss? “I don’t know. I never kissed Tad before. I guess it felt like a Tad kiss.”
