Catherine Hickland puts her money where her love is

Catherine Hickland (Lindsay, One Life to Live) is crazy about cosmetics (she’s the Cat in Cat Cosmetics) and animals (she’s got five cats and three dogs). So why not put the two together? Why not, indeed. The actress is sponsoring a contest where pet owners can suggest the names of their rescued pets as names of some new Cat Cosmetics. (Fido eyeshadow, anyone?) The proceeds of the “Adopt Me” kit (eye shadow, gloss, bronzer/blush duo) will go to Animal Haven, a no-kill animal shelter and sanctuary in Queens, New York. The contest runs from Sept 1, 2004 through Feb. 28, 2005 on www.catcosmetics.com. Winners will receive a $100 gift Certifi-cat to Cat Cosmetics, a free “Adopt Me” kit and a bit of immortality for their pet. The “Adopt Me” kit launches nationally in spring of 2005.
